Society of shame,

The Society of Shame is a freely linked complex of independent exhibition projects of five authors who devoted themselves to the topics of criticism of today's society, especially social issues in the widest sense of the word.

Each artist has a distinctive way of communicating, whether it's irony, metaphor or documentary, and their artistic zone is at least a bit different from the others. Some work under their own names, others conceal their identity and use pseudonyms, but they all share the ability to diagnose today's society through their art and to monitor its areas, that show the dark side of „here and now“.

The Society of Shame is meant to highlight at least some of the negative aspects of contemporary life that are often invisible, even if we literally have them every day right in front of our eyes. It is not by accident that the initial letters of all three words of the name of this project bring together the abbreviation SOS, the most well-known and worldwide-used emergency signal.
