Andrea Forsterová studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where she also lives and works. She expresses herself mainly through painting, most often large-format semi-abstract paintings with frequent use of a linear solution, whose originally lively and expressive character changes in her latest work to a search for peace and our place in space and leads to contemplation and acceptance of the given reality. Her frequent themes are time, space, our place in the universe, a fictional landscape (sometimes with an implied conflict). Sometimes angels or animals with a fantastic story appear in the paintings. The author makes her world of imagination available to us through her paintings. She held dozens of solo exhibitions. She exhibited many times abroad, collaborated with architects, designed stained glass windows, devoted herself to graphics and teaching activities, is represented in private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad.
